NPRA Current and Future members –
Due to the current financial situation of the club, the NPRA
is unable to produce a hard copy version of the bulletin this quarter.
The Board has discussed a number of options and voted on a solution.
One factor taken into consideration is that 75% of our club members
have a valid email address, which indicates 75% also has web access.
While at the same time, 80% of our membership has requested a hard copy
bulletin. These
factors taken into considersation, the Board of Directors has discussed and voted to approve a web-based
bulletin. The
bulletin will be available on the web site, and in downloadable format (PDF).
The Board strongly believes that this decision will allow the NPRA to
regain financial stability, while meeting the membership’s requirements for a
quality bulletin.
The web-based bulletin will better enable us to grow our available funds over the next quarter, where the Board will revisit the current situation. The decision was made based on the current financial situation of the NPRA; however, the vote of the Board is to move forward with a web-based bulletin on a permanent basis. Our hope is to eventually produce our bulletin on a Secure and Sign-On protected website. Not the entire club website, but only the bulletin portion. This would also contain past editions of the NPRA bulletin available for download at your convenience.
The Board understands that not everyone will have
access to the bulletin and we will do what is necessary to support those
individuals. Even if it means producing hard copy bulletins for those in
question.
We will definitely be making every effort to supply a bulletin to those that
have not shown any sign of being able to access the website.
However, this will cost the club valuable dollars, and
there are other expenses we need to prioritize to keep the NPRA running.
A breakdown of the current finances will be
provided in the upcoming bulletin.
Please know that it is the Board’s job to run this
club for you, the membership.
The NPRA has hit some difficult times, but we are regrouping and
moving forward.
Change is always difficult at first, but the Board asks that you embrace this
change. Open and honest communication is always welcome.
The Board is very hopeful that all of our members will be willing to make some
sacrifices in the spirit of solidarity and financial stability of Our club.
